Did i have to go to college, hahaha.
I got all a's and b's in my gcse's and a's and b's in my A levels (college qualifications). I then went on to do a history degree at manchester university. I also had to make sure i was at my physical peak throughout my whole life.
Alternatively, you could do mediocre academic skills and make sure you were physically fit. You could get in as a private.
And jumping out of planes is amazing. its like a rollercoaster. I love it _________________ I don't look for violence, violence looks for me |

I have a 94 GPA in school, and I probably will go to a good college, because I guess I have to go to college to do anything half decent in life, in NYC you need a degree just to be a garbage man. I just don't really like school, I think it is boring, and there is no challenge. One day in Social Studies, the teacher spent all year telling us how bad England was when we were one of their colonies, so I decided to challenge that, and I convinced half the class that England was only trying to get back the money they spent during the French and Indian War to protect us, and it was a lot of fun watching a year of brain washing messed up in one day. I have to either not go to school, or do things like that, because school is just to easy. I actually learn more when I stay home. As long as my GPA stays as high as it through High School, I should have no problem getting in to a good school.
I might have to work on my running endurance if I would ever join, and I heard there is a lot of running in the American Airborne School. I had trouble running three miles for football, but I could probably get better at it with enough work. Then again my strength might balance things out, because I heard they make you run with eighty pounds of gear on their back, and that won't effect me as much as the other guys, because I have a lot more than the average strength. During the football season I got a few sacks by picking guys up, and throwing them at the quarterback, but maybe that doesn't count as a sack, im not sure, but it got the job done. |

I think you would really enjoy studying economics. It is normal to consider the other side of the picture and challenging conventional wisdom is valued (so long as you can back yourself up with numbers.) _________________ Support the troops - BRING THEM HOME |

GPA, is that Grade point average.
And is it out of 100?
That is more than enough. but over 75% of people who go to Sandhurst (the officer school here) have degrees
But if you are strong, you should really just work on endurance and speed. Because there is a lot of that. Have you ever fired a gun before? _________________ I don't look for violence, violence looks for me |

Yes GPA is great point average, and yes that is out of 100. I probably wouldn't go to Sandhurst though, because you probably have to be a British citizen to be an officer. I have never fired a gun before, but I do have four years of experience with paintball, and I am very familiar with tactics. If you don't have to be a British citizen to serve as an officer I might go over there, because the British have the best quality military in the world, the Americans just have a lot more people.
Are you in the SAS, or a different para unit? |

My comment was directed at Some Guy (SG). He wanted to know which unit to join. I suggested the Foreign Legion. He can learn about Camaron. _________________ Quemadmoeum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est. |

I would never join anything in the French military, I don’t care how much they improved, they are French. Type in French Military Victories on google, and click im feeling lucky, I don’t care what statistics anyone throws at me, the French have a awful military.
If you are trying to make me sound disloyal to my country, because I am considering joining the British instead of the American military, you are wrong. The Americans, and British both fight for the same thing, and I chose to join the side with superior tactics. In addition I wouldn’t join to fight for something, I would join just to jump out of planes, and blow stuff up. |

"the French have a awful military. "
Except for La Legion d'Etranger. BTW, if you pledge allegiance to a foreign power (like Great Britain) and serve in its military, you risk losing your US citizenship. But in the Legion, your allegiance is to the Legion and not to France. That way, you don't risk your US citizenship.
You could always go to Parris Island. Then sign up for Force Recon.

To each his own. My ancestors were kicked out of some of the most high-class countries on Earth. They were accepted in America.
Besides, we're pretty strong on the private ownership of firearms so we have that going for us. _________________ Quemadmoeum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est. |

| Well, I am going to stay American, because you can't be an officer in any of those other countries, and I would never join anything supporting France, related to the French, or assisting the French. |

Don't be so hard on the French there, SG. There wouldn't BE a U.S.A. without them. _________________ The Bible is like a person... torture it enough and you can get it to say anything you want it to! Anonymous

anyway, the statement that everyone has something which makes him different of others, is what makes the difference between us.US is a good soldier, and SG is a good american(yeah, if america means tolerance, I realy don't know eighter what is your problem with the french), and so on.
Based on this,we chose a pat on which we go, 'til the end comes.
now, a qestion for US:what are the conditions and the restrictions of joining the british or the american army?(in my next reply I'll tell you why I asked you) |

well it depends, are you britsh or american, because you need a passport and citizenship for either. sorry i aint been posting for a while, i have been busy.
I am not sure what it takes to become an american soldier (and it depends on which organisation you want to join)
But to join the british military you need to be able to do basic fitness.
800 metres in about 2.40 minutes. 42 pressups (i think its called a pushup in american) in 2 minutes. then flip over and do 50 situps in 2 minutes. and a 10k run in under an hour (or something like that, its been a long time since i have had to do anything that easy).
And the rest depends on whether you want to be an officer. I had to do leadership activities and shit like that. its pretty easy if you are a natural born leader and have some intelligence.
If you want to join as a soldier, rather than as an officer, then you just need to be able to work as a team etc etc.
As long as you like sports, and are active, you should be okay. _________________ I don't look for violence, violence looks for me |

well, if it only takes that much it shouldn't be a problem for me, except the citisenship .by the way, discromatitis is a serious problem in joining the army in my country(by the way, I'm from Romania, so excuse my eventual misspellings).seems like one option less, altough I felt I was made for the armed service since I was a kid, studyed tactics, and many stuff like this.
But thanks anyway
by the way, what about when you want to build up a fammily? in case you aren't married yet, or something like that, I'm sure you get to travel all across the Globe, but what do you say, is that and the continous mennance a problem for a fammily life? |
